You know how
to build their wealth.

Deep down, you want to help them live their dream.

You're exceptional at protecting what they've built — the risk, the tax strategy, the plan that holds up when markets don't. That part, you've got down. But most clients can't tell you what any of it is actually for. Not because they're avoiding the question. They genuinely don't know. And they won't ask you to help them find out — that's not what they think you're for.

So the plan gets built around goals they named because you asked, not because they'd really sat with it. It's safe. It's just not exciting enough to actually follow.

You can build the plan. What you can't always do is help a client picture the life it's for — and honestly, neither can they, on their own. Vivid Life Partners brings the structured reflection that turns "safe" into a real vision. You bring the financial expertise it deserves.

Why advisors partner with us:

  • Clients arrive more decisive, less stalled

  • A real answer to "what's this money actually for?"

  • Fewer plans that quietly go unused

  • You become the advisor who helped them dream, not just one who built a plan

Taylor Lies, CPCC

My approach to coaching is grounded in the science of behavior change, strengths-based development, and conflict resolution. I bring more than 20 years of experience helping people navigate change, growth, and complex decisions, with a background in higher education administration and extensive training and practice in mediation and conflict resolution. Today, I work primarily with high-performing leaders stepping into senior roles and mid-career professionals navigating what comes next. I am a graduate of Georgetown University’s Leadership Coaching program.

I believe that living intentionally starts with getting clear about who you are and what you really want for your life. I help clients define their values and vision, take an honest look at where they are today, and identify the changes that will move them toward the future they want to create. I bring a structured process, deep curiosity, a strengths-based lens, and a style that is both supportive and challenging. I ask questions that go below the surface, help clients work through competing priorities and perspectives, and turn greater clarity into intentional choices and meaningful action.

My love of coaching comes from a combination of training with the Co-Active Training Institute, tools such as PostiveIntelligence®, StrengthsFinder® and VitalSmarts®, and 15+ years of real life experience in innovation and design roles in which I facilitated workshops, led teams and advised executives. I am certified by Co-Active Training Institute and the International Coaching Federation.

I work with my clients to create real and lasting change in their professional and personal lives. I have a fierce belief that we all should want more and that each of us is capable of achieving more. I work with my clients’ inherent creativity, resourcefulness and other strengths and champion their commitment to change and grow. I bring proven structures and tools, relentless optimism, a balance of emotion and action, and a mix of insightful introspection and actionable steps forward.

Our Story

Most people spend years saving for retirement, and very little time designing the life they actually want to live — now or in the decades ahead. Traditional financial planning is good at the math. It’s not built to answer the harder question: what is all of this actually for?

We felt that gap ourselves. We sat across from financial advisors we liked, felt more secure once the plan was in place — and still didn't know what we were building toward. We realized that question was deeply personal, and that no one had ever asked us to sit down and actually work it out.

As coaches, we knew this kind of reflection doesn’t happen over dinner or in a single conversation. It takes structure, time, and the right questions — the same science-backed approach we already use to help people and leaders close the gap between where they are and where they want to be, applied here to the stage where money and life planning collide.

We built this so advisors don’t have to become life coaches to give clients what they need — and so clients don’t spend decades saving for a future they never actually defined. Now we all can have a vivid understanding of the life we want to live!
